This patient had meniscus surgery and as a result there was significant bruising at the medial thigh. Spidertech pre cut tape was applied to the patient on Tuesday and that Friday it was removed. You can see the benefits of the tape as it lifts the skin and allows the fluid to be reabsorbed by the body, hence decreasing the visible color and reducing the swelling. As a result of this, the patient’s range of motion was increased. The benefit of taping patients is an intricate part of our practice.
